Interested in philosophy and the arts, I spend my time painting, singing, 5R dancing, swimming, and running a couple of groups which focus on creative mutual support and spiritual awakening. I have been a meditator for many years, in good health, love travel and visit my family in Australia when I can. Fully retired from a professional life in Art Education and Therapy, I enjoy walking, writing, the company of good friends, live music, theatre, film, art galleries, nature and wilderness. I feel I have cultivated a good balance in life, being down to earth and feeling quite content but I am nothing if not honest enough to say that I really miss having a special male best friend in my life, yet feel quite anxious about the task of finding one. Good fortune doesn't always reward the brave, but I decided to sign up here anyway to see if there's another Oldie out there who is as totally daunted by dating sites, as I am? Always questioning since a child, I have practiced buddhist meditation for almost 40 years, explored many spiritual paths and still enquiring. Whilst I practice Vipassana I see no division and find life itself, like all religious paths, lead to the one truth.

I orientate towards socialism with green values but feel it's important to listen to all political views, as they are only opinions which divide us.

I am an average pleasant enough 71 year old woman, curvy, not skinny, with white hair, and although I wear make up and make an effort with appearance, I am more interested in how I feel on the inside and the energy I share.

In another life:

In the next life I'd like to be wiser and remember I am okay, be less afraid to try new things, be a better explorer, to rediscover it's all a wonderful mystery just as it is
