"Something new, something "

I am a warm, fun and affectionate person and I put relationships with my family and my wide circle of good friends, at the centre of my life. I have three lovely adult sons and their partners and 4 gorgeous grandkids. I work part time in child and adult mental health - I love my work but have recently semi-retired to make a bit more time to enjoy other aspects of my life. I have always enjoyed living life to the full and have a wide range of interests. I particularly enjoy dabbling in arts and crafts though describe myself as a bit of a permanent beginner in these! I sing in a Community Choir; am part of a thriving book group - recent authors I've appreciated are Elizabeth Strout, Kent Haruf and Maggie O'Farrell. I enjoy walking with friends (lots of walking in lockdown!); And before life was turned upside down for us all this year I enjoyed visiting Art galleries; going sometimes reluctantly- to the gym; evenings at the theatre, cinema and eating out. I alsolike evenings in, curled up on the sofa watching a good film (but thats wearing a bit thin now. Too much of a good thing!!). I thoroughly enjoy social conversation, both intimate 1-1 exchanges and lively, around the dinner table musings (sons edit: bit of a talker!). Holidays are precious and I look forward to being able to go on them again.... both at home and abroad.... I think my friends would describe me as having both a thoughtful, sensitive, side and a more playful side. I enjoy sharing a good laugh, and now and again a spontaneous dance around the kitchen to the music as I cook. Id love to find a partner to dance along with. I was widowed a few years ago after a long and happy marriage. I am now wanting to build my life in a new direction. Finding a close companion to share some of the journey with is an important part of that process . Anyone out there? ..
