We are all inclined to say that writing about onesself in these circumstances is not easy.I am no different but I might just twitter on once I get going....be warned! I am a fit man, now in his seventies, but feel more than a decade younger.I have been divorced for nineteen years and that is history.However I remain close to my family,one of each and have a delightful seven year old granddaughter,fit and with all the cheek they have at that age.She is great! All my family are local. My education background is rather unusual: An eleven plus failure who studied chemistry a "year late" and gained a very average 2:1.It was a UCL degree at a London polytechnic.I did an MBA via distance learning over five years ,late 80's,early 90's.Latterly I managed the analytical chemistry products department in the major UK and international firm supplying laboratories.I have been reitired for a decade. My interests are many and varied.I was ,until recently a Rotarian ,past president of my club and very active in Rotary throughout the East Midlands.I resigned two months ago for reasons that would not be fully understood by a non Rotarian.I am a keen walker and that takes me out ,booted up, about weekly with a crowd of up to twenty five.Music has been an enduring interest since my teens.I used to play the cello, can read a simple score and enjoy an enormous record collection and regular concert attendence.More recently I have joined a quiz group and have developed an interest in church/cathedral architecture. All that makes me seem just too serious for a happy,bubbly lady.I am not .My humour is described as impish and I have a near permanent twinkle in my eye.I am a good listener ,can embrace the interests of others but rule out knitting and line dancing! I know I can be pedantic,I call it accuracy. ..CP
