"Hello " |
| I live in a wee village in South Lanarkshire with my greyhound, Lizzie Longlegs. I retired from my full time job in a rehab hospital a few weeks ago and am starting out on a new life which I want to live for me. I'm full of enthusiasm and positivity, I'm annoyingly cheerful, I'm creative, love writing and words (hate bad spelling, punctuation and txtspk), enjoy anything arty and quirky and have done lots of acting, including Calendar Girls. My CV won't give you much of a clue - I've been an agony aunt, a governance manager, a wedding celebrant, a couture wedding dress shop manager, an advertising media manager, and ran my own virtual office business. I'm either a psychologist's nightmare or wet dream, not sure which. The way to my heart is either through my smile muscles or through words.

| Occupation: | | Retired from working as governance manager in a rehab hospital, working as a humanist celebrant. It's a joy being part of all that happiness (that's the celebrant bit not the rehab bit), but strangely I think I prefer doing funerals to weddings. It's something about giving the kindest support to those that are left behind. |
| | Education: | | MA in Spanish. Apart from living in Peru for six months I've never really used it until recently, as I now specialise in doing bilingual weddings in Spanish and French. Although my degree is in Spanish I think I may prefer French. |
| | Religion: | | Humanist. I was brought up C of E, but have pretty much lost my faith in the integrity of religion (much like politics). I reckon religion is the biggest killer of mankind. When I became a humanist celebrant 3 years ago I kept realising that's how I like to live - basic summary is respect yourself and others, and be kind. That's what the world should be like. |
| | Politics: | | I'm not a political animal |
| | Languages Spoken: | | French, Spanish |
| | Musical Instruments played: | | Piano |
| | Music Enjoyed: | | Blues, Choral, Reggae, 60s music, 70s music |
| | Sports and exercise: | | Pilates, Rugby, Swimming, Tennis, Walking (I really love watching rugby, please don't put me on a rugby pitch and give me a ball). I think I'd really like to try sailing if anybody out there wants to take me out? |

There's no dancing option - I love dancing and don't get the opportunity very often. My dancing is ... um ... characterful and wild. |
| | Favourite Dishes: | | Lasagne, Lemongrass and ginger marinated chicken, Mediterranean vegetables and Ricotta wrapped in Filo, Steak and chips, Thai Green Curry, Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding |
