Non-driver, I use public transport, walk and cycle. Enjoy Scrabble and word games, sudoku, jigsaws and books; walking, cycling and gardening, folk and classical music, theatre and nights in. I sing with a local choir, play flute, guitar snd piano. I like low budget holidays with an outdoor emphasis. In general I prefer countryside to cities, small gatherings to crowds, self-catering holidays to hotels. Having lived alone for 10 years I like having my own space. I enjoy solitude and solitary pursuits as well as social occasions and group activities. Very keen on green, environmentally friendly, minimalist lifestyle and healthy eating - vegetarian for 51 years. Family relationships are important, but I'm not from a large family. I never wear make-up and don't go to hairdressers or nail-bars, but like wearing hats and Comfy Shoes! When I want short hair, I use an AI effect - that is, Auto-Inflicted! , Anything that's currently got my attention! I use my local library and often pick up a book for its cover. I have a long list of authors who I like -Favourites? I'm fickle and have crushes! I mostly read fiction and poetry, some non-fiction, travel and biography.

Favourite Dishes:

Handmade Pizza, Lasagne, Mediterranean vegetables and Ricotta wrapped in Filo, Vegetarian only - but no prejudice against eating with non-veggies! I do like cheeses and other dairy stuff, but try not to overdo it!

Ideal Holiday:

I have a guilt issue with flying these days - and private fossil-fuelled transport - but so much can be reached by train and ferry, if you have the time and funds! Cornwall, Scotland, Lake District, Wales or Ireland, by public transport, bike and on foot, all would be wonderful and guilt-free!

In another life:

A tree. You don't always need to be rushing around to have a full life. You can experience plenty by staying still and keeping your eyes and mind open. Plus, I'd be helping to save the planet and there's a chance I might live much longer!
