To find romance again would be wonderful but am very happy to say "let's see what happens" using friendship as a springboard. I am a positive, happy widow who wants to make new memories. Have laterally realised that it is unlikely that my Mr. Bond (or, indeed, Mr. Bean!) is going to drop from the rural Dorset skies and sweep me off my feet and am therefore willing to widen my net and travel to meet the 'right' man. I like to think I am kind, loving, funny, well educated, well spoken, tactile - and I smile a lot! I have a great life with good friends, fantastic home and animals, a successful small business and many interests . all of which make me smile - but I long to share again with one special man; despite being capable and comfortable with my own company I am lonely in a crowd .... I am rural but not rustic - as much at home in wellies as a little black dress and it has been known for me to combine the two with panache when in a hurry! I am strong, capable and forthright but also sensitive, feminine and vulnerable. Fundamentally I'm quite an old fashioned girl who believes that men should be men and women should be women (can I be arrested for saying that here in these days of PC gone mad?!). My personality is full of strange contradictions (which I like to think make me interesting rather than frustrating). I have a passion for property renovation, writing, animals, the great outdoors, cooking ...... and also love to veg out in front of a good film and a roaring fire from time to time! It would be great to do this sometimes with a special man to cuddle rather than a couple of lazy retrievers!! Strangely, (and although well travelled) I also love this cookie little country of ours and there is a great deal I haven't yet explored. I have a 'wish list' (who doesn't?) and have tried to summarise below the type of man I would like to find. Have been known to announce that MacDonalds is my favourite place (let's face it - that not only makes me honest but also a VERY cheap date!!!)

Ideal Holiday:

Safari in Africa, Have already done about half of the above. I am not averse to a good holiday but am actually quite a home bird if I'm honest and have no desire any more to don a backpack and pound the back streets of Nepal!
