"Widowed 5 years, would like to share life again "

Damaged goods due to an emergency operation 4 years ago - I have a large hernia which makes me look pregnant, also several other medical problems, but I do get around have been abroad 5 times in the last year. I smoke a pipe and the occasional cigar, drink far too much but usually only beer. I don't do dancing due to an evil headmistress when in Primary school who put me off it for life. I'm a complete food philistine, for years I've expressed a wish for pie and chips for Christmas dinner - but as I don't cook I've never yet managed it (and the chippies round here are closed that day). OK some better points, I'm quite intelligent, was a computer programmer for 30+ years, am interested in all sorts of things, far too many to list here, but animals, Nature, gardening are up there, and recently I've been involved with Cancer support groups locally after recovering from it myself. Like to meet lady, age immaterial though close to my own age or older is preferable. Fun and open minded, likes animals (especially dogs), and just wants to share life. Preferably local to me as with age I'm not so good at driving, (and certainly not when I'm drinking) so beginning to rely on public transport more. ..OL
